Since Mayor De Blasio took office crime has seem to be going down over time and the numbers are in. Over the course of the year crime rate has went down and for the better. And that is good for everyone to hear, no one wants to see crime continue to rise. Especially in an city like New York City which is so big.

While certain crime rates have remain the same there have been some that went down. Rape drop from 38 to 32 with a change of 15.8%. Robberies have went down to by 0.4%. Burglaries have also went down by 17.9%. And grand larceny auto has also went down by 8.8%. Which in total has brought down crime by 1.25%. Which is a step in the right direction.
